Wow Raizy, they are all so beautiful, you've got a wonderful way of really capturing the beauty of the animals. their forms and colors are so accurate and you make them look so graceful. I love the shading on the still life one and the portraits take so much talent to make them look so much like the real thing. Keep posting!

Raizy, I love the parrot. Even through the layers of the Internet and my computer screen the parrot's essence came through. More than the colors and form, the look in his eye was alive and captured his spirit. Well done!

Raizy, thank you so much for including me on your email list that announces the updates to you blog.

It is one thing to make art, but it is quite another to share it with others. Too many artists keep their work in a closet. Art is communication and I am so grateful you are sharing your work with everyone!

Your colors are so vivid and alive! You can really tell that you love working with those oil pastels!! You seem to love nature subjects. Have you ever sketched in the park or garden?

I bet if you did some flower pastels they would explode with beauty....fill up the whole page with blooms!!

I have 2 suggestions. When you draw, keep asking yourself, (for example if you are doing a portrait, this applies to any drawing though) where does the corner of her eye line up on her head...is it level with the top of her ear? or the middle of her ear? How about the tip of her nose? Where does that line up? Just keep making "markers" for yourself about where details are positioned. It will help the overall composition and perspective.

Also, your beautiful work deserves a good camera! Especially if you are going to blog. The focus is a tiny bit off in most of your pictures. Is it the camera? We want to see every detail! (-:

So that is my critique...I am always honest because I want the artist to really show themselves to their best effect.

Love and a Big Big Hug,
